This one session workshop will cover the basics of creating a 14k gold wedding back from scratch! 5-Hour Workshop Date: Saturday, October 30, 2021 Time: 10am-3pm Description: In this workshop we will learn how to pour a gold ingot, roll the ingot into ring stock and form the gold stock into a personalized 14k gold wedding band. Students will learn how to form and solder gold and also learn how to create different finishes and polishes for a gold band unique to each students style. This workshop is limited to 4 students. Tuition: $95 + materials fee Materials: Students will purchase gold in class. Price is based on the weight of the finished wedding band and the daily market price of gold. For reference, a size 8 band in 14k yellow gold at 2mm wide is about $200, and a 7mm wide band is about $800, at 1.5mm thickness. Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops. Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks. She is an avant-garde creator of custom jewelry and fashion wearable. KING RELD often curates meaningful experiential exhibits enhanced by performance and installation, and often, with collaborative works of other artists and designers. She graduated with a Bachelors in Visual/Studio Arts and Environmental Creative Writing from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA. She has apprenticed under master jeweler Ira Helfer of David I. Helfer Jewelers in the Jewelry District in Pittsburgh. Sindler had been exhibited by the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Society of North American Goldsmiths, among others.
