A&WMA AMS Luncheon Thursday, October 14, 2021 PADEP: Priorities and Developments Mr. Jim Miller, Southwest Regional Director AWMA AMS Luncheon Thursday, October 14, 2021 Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Priorities and Developments Mr. Jim Miller Southwest Regional Director AWMA’s Allegheny Mountain Section is excited to welcome you back to our lunch programs at the Penn Brewery! For our first luncheon of the season, we are pleased announce Mr. Jim Miller, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Southwest Office’s Regional Director, will speak about the agency’s upcoming priorities and initiatives. On January 2, 2021, Mr. Miller became the regional director of the DEP’s Southwest Regional Office. Mr. Miller has served the DEP for over 30 years. Prior to assuming his current role, he was DEP’s Northwest Regional Director for over four years and was the assistant regional director for the Northcentral Regional Office for six years. Mr. Miller began his DEP career as an inspector in the Southeast Regional Office’s waste management program. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental biology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. The luncheon will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Penn Brewery, 800 Vinial Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. The restaurant offers a free parking lot. Please pre-register for the luncheon by October 7, 2021. You can register for the luncheon at: www.ams-awma.org and clicking on EVENTS. Payment at the time of registration using Event Brite is preferred. Please note you must pre-register for the event. You may also pay by cash at the door after you pre-register. Credit cards are not accepted at the door. Refunds will not be provided within 7 days of the event as food orders will have been placed.
