BETHPAGE, NY — The Town of Oyster Bay will be holding a free job fair on Oct. 12, featuring employers from across Long Island.
The fair will be held at the town's Ice Skating Rink, located at 1001 Stewart Ave. in Bethpage. There is no charge for admission, and parking is free. Doors will open to veterans at 9 a.m., and to the general public at 10 a.m. The fair will run until 2 p.m.
Employers from all over Long Island will be looking for candidates or entry and middle-management level, licensed professionals, hospitality and food service industries, banking, staffing, and those with technical and IT experience.
"The Workforce Partnership and Town of Oyster Bay are committed to helping residents find meaningful employment opportunities as well as assisting local businesses in recruiting qualified employees," said Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino. "This Mega Job Fair will connect private and public sector employers with job seekers, while also providing attendees with employability workshops onsite."
The Town of Oyster Bay serves as administrator of The Workforce Partnership, a consortium of local governments funded by the Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act that provides free resources to both employers and job seekers at career centers in Hicksville and Massapequa. These centers help train employees to meet the needs of the private sector, connecting qualified job seekers with employers, and assists applicants in accessing job opportunities.
