BEVERLY, MA — These Beverly students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges and universities across the nation. The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 4,000 of its newest alumni during the university's 135th Commencement. More than 3,700 undergraduate degrees and 680 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during nine individual ceremonies held over three days May 21-23. Natalie Coughlin earned a Bachelor of Science in Textile Marketing, Magna Cum Laude. Nicholas Dilusio earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Leo Jacob Feingold earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. Wyle-Grace Marie Goddard earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice and Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Ally Kramer of Beverly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Matt Pitman earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Data Science, Magna Cum Laude Ali Shane Tilton earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Summa Cum Laude. Malcolm Zeroka of Beverly earned a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology, Summa Cum Laude. Students who received the honor Summa Cum Laude graduated with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.7; students who received the honor of Magna Cum Laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.50; and students who received the honor of Cum Laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.3. Comprised annually, students at Union College with at least a 3.50 grade-point average for the entire academic year were honored with the academic achievement. Those from Beverly honored on the Dean's List for 2020-21 were: Grace Athanas — a member of the Class of 2024 majoring in Neuroscience. Ciara Lyne — a member of the Class of 2021 majoring in Political Science and Spanish and Hispanic Studies. Southern New Hampshire University had several Beverly students among those being named to the summer 2021 President's List. Full-time students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above are named to the President's List. They were Mary Eaton, Jessica Frazer, Joshua Spitaleri, Nathaniel Holcombe and Emily Rolinger. The following Beverly students were named to Clark University's spring Dean's List: Gyani Pradhan Wong Ah Sui was named to first honors. William Talbot was named to first honors. Sara Wheeler was named to first honors. Natalie Stilwell was named to second honors. Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors. Alison Estey graduated from Hofstra University in May 2021, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Arts. Camille Barror has enrolled at Nichols College as a member of the class of 2025. Lauren Booth enrolled at Lebanon Valley College as part of its record-setting Class of 2025. The 487 new students surpassed the 478 new enrollees in 2019. Booth, a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School, is pursuing a degree in Exercise Science. On June 5, Leila Cavero graduated as part of the Class of 2021 at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School in Waltham.
