Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Cook to become an integral part of our team!Pay Rate - $13.00Daily PayImmediate health benefitsTemp to hire opportunities.Responsibilities:Leads kitchen team in chef's absenceProvides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish platingOversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredientsEnsures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assuranceKeeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hoursManages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimizes waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction, and manage budgetary concernsSupervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standardsVerifies that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managedAssists head chef with menu creationCoordinates with the restaurant management team on supply orders, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffingQualifications & ExperienceMust be able to submit to a background checkCooking experience required. Minimum one-year experience as a cookGood knife skills and deep knowledge of food preparationPossess a valid food handler's card or SERV Safe certification - our branch will help provide this trainingAble to work all areas of the kitchen.Work Location:Jackson, MS Contact Number:Call: 601.420.2042 Connect and network online with us:  We will get to know you and connect you with jobs that match your skills, experience, and preferences.
