APD Needs Public's Help Finding Bank Robbery Suspect

AUSTIN, TX — Austin police are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a bank robbery in downtown Austin on Tuesday. Police said they received a 911 call around 12:21 p.m. for a robbery at the Chase Bank at 2514 Guadalupe Street. A caller told authorities the suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. Live in Austin? Officials said the bank teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash before they ran out of the back door. The suspect was last seen walking northbound in the 2500 block of San Antonio Street. Authorities said the suspect is identified to be about 40-years-old, approximately 6-feet tall, had gray, short and balding hair and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, white shirt, black pants, a blue mask and backpack.
