2 Dead In North Arlington House Fire, Prosecutor Investigating

NORTH ARLINGTON, NJ — An early morning house fire claimed the lives of two North Arlington residents, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office confirmed. The Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the North Arlington Police Department are investigating the fatal house fire at 1 Ninth St., which was reported at 4:16 a.m. on Friday morning. Three people in total were found inside the home, but two were pronounced dead at the scene. They have been identified as 75-year-old Safwat Saad and 44-year-old Maged Saad. A third person was found inside the house, and was transported to a local hospital, officials said. Officials are investigating the cause of the fire, and have not released any other information at this time.
