Two Arrested For Drug Dealing After Fatal Shooting

By John Gibson, WNIN Sept. 17, 2021 Police have arrested two Evansville men on drug charges at the scene of a fatal shooting. Authorities say 27-year-old Richard Garrett shot and killed 29-year-old Douglas Todd Fulkerson at a home in the 1200 block of Marshall Avenue early Tuesday morning. But Garrett has not been charged in Fulkerson's death. Police arrested him and 32-year-old Patrick Garrett on unrelated drug dealing charges. In a release, Evansville Police said there had been an argument and a fight among several people at the home before the shots were fired. The EPD said the shooting remains under investigation and anyone with more information is asked to call detectives at 812-436-7979, or the WeTip Line at 800-78-Crime.
