Looking for a personal care provider for my housemate, for day or night shift. He is 44, has physical disabilities, and is legally blind. He can walk and is not bedridden, but since he cannot see, he is a fall risk. The day and night jobs are fulltime, and pay $15/hr. 1. The day caregiver works 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The day duties consist of light housekeeping, doing laundry and dishes, vacuuming, mopping, meal prep; and help in showering, grooming, and getting dressed. It also involves taking walks with him and shopping for him. Further, it includes companionship when the work is complete. 2. The night caregiver works 8 hours a night, 5 nights a week, from 11 PM to 7 AM. The night duties consist of being beside him through the night, taking him to the bathroom and back, watching TV with him, giving him ice water or soda, etc. The night caregiver primarily provides him with companionship at night. If you pass the in-person interview for the day or night shift with me and my housemate, you will be referred immediately to Grace Home Care Agency. After further interview with them, orientation, and a criminal background check, that agency will be the one to hire and pay you for services rendered. No experience is required, but experience in home care or taking care of persons with disability is helpful. You must have reliable vehicle for this job.
