Bail Set At $50K In Sunset Foods DUI Case

LIBERTYVILLE, IL —A 70-year-old man faces aggravated drunken driving charges after Libertyville police officers found his car parked in the middle of two parking aisles in the lot at Sunset Foods. Police were initially called to the grocery store at 1451 Peterson Road just before 2 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a intoxicated person trying to drive a silver Honda away. The driver, Brian Woerheide, of Midlothian, exhibited several signs of impairment, police said. He was arrested after police asked him to perform a series of field sobriety tests. Woerheide was taken to the Libertyville Police Department and received citations for two counts of aggravated driving under the influence and driving while license suspended/revoked. His bail has been set at $50,000 and he was taken to the Lake County Jail, according to the Libertyville Police Department report.
