DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Over 3,000 Dakota Electric customers are without power following overnight storms, the company shared on Twitter. There were also about 300 outage incidents, the company said. Dakota Electric said that the areas hit hardest by the power outages were Eagan, Burnsville and Apple Valley. The company also warned customers not to go near downed power lines and thanked customers for their patience. Over 70,000 Xcel Energy customers lost power due to the storms.
