1. People will only call if they feel there is a possible fit or are interested.
2. You imply that you are older and "rusty". Younger musicians are not looking for old guys and saying you are rusty means that you probably don't play well.
3. Do you have any recordings of your playing for people to hear? Not having recordings, especially if you are a senior or close to it is not good. A photographer must have photos to show his work, an artist must have samples of his art and a musician must have the same.
4. Just telling people you want to jam tells them nothing. Jam to what? Genre? Songs?
People won't respond if you don't put in the effort to provide sufficient information. Good luck.
