Job description Job Title: Make Ready Technician Job Description: Make Ready Technicians offer maintenance and make ready experience in many areas and play an integral role in providing great service to our tenants by completing daily work orders for general maintenance, hvac, plumbing, carpentry and more. Responsibilities: May include, but not limited to: · General Repairs · Drywall Repairs & Painting · Light Electrical Repairs (GFCIs, breakers, switches/fixtures, etc.) · Light Carpentry · Light Plumbing · Documenting work completed, parts used, and outstanding items not addressed on work orders. Obtaining model/serial numbers for all appliances on work order. · Communication with office staff regarding parts and inventory · Operating company vehicle to perform work orders/make readies · Self starter with attention to detail and job completion · Troubleshoot problems and resolve efficiently and effectively Qualifications/Skills: · Has some maintenance/carpentry, electrical, hvac and plumbing experience · Professional and able to work with minimal supervision · Ability to learn new skills and be flexible · Can lift and transport 50lbs unassisted and climb ladders · Completes tasks in a safe and efficient manner · Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines · Arrives for work as scheduled and on time · Reliable transportation to and from work · Ability to use an iPad for work related tasks · Clean and presentable appearance · Have a valid Driver’s License with clean driving record · Ability to pass full background check and drug test Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent HVAC certification is a plus Company Info: Located in Olathe, KS – Properties are throughout Johnson Co., KS and S. Wyandotte Co., KS Hours – Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch daily), No Overtime Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurances available after 90 Days of employment Holidays paid after 90 days of employment (New Year’s day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day) Paid Time Off after 6 months of employment 401K – Eligible after 1 year of employment Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: PPE is provided.
