Description
He's a very beautiful Four and a half year old(birthday roughly March 17, 2017) Neutered male
Weight (as of 9/14/21): Eighty-one lbs. 🐘
Vaccination Status: Up-to-date (can provide proof, rabies good until August of 2024, next DA2PP due August of 2022)
Kids?: We were told yes, but we don't have any. We haven't seen any signs kids would be a no, except he needs to realize how big he is.
Reason for rehoming: When we initially met him with our dog we already have, everything seemed fine. We just found out that our dog isn't taking to him like we hoped, and it's not fair to stress either of them to the point where they aren't getting more love than corrections. It is 100% NOT his fault. Our dog normally does fine, but just does not like that he is overly obsessed with him and tries to mount him, which causes our dog to get reactive, and we don't want to worsen it. We realize some people may say to just keep trying and that's just dogs setting boundaries, but it's just not fair.
rehoming fee of 250, not negotiable we are already taking a bit of a loss in what we spent on her ( not that money is an issue. I WILL NOT take him back to the place I got his as while I was there they had horrible living conditions.
He does do great with our dog. When our dog tried to tell him not to mount him, he did NOT try to snap. So, he's very good even when another dog gets snippy. He's also relatively good with cats. Since his paws are so big, he kind of just tries to hold them down, which of course we don't encourage. He does know "sit" and "down". He will need some work on leash manners, but we can discuss what we found works best for him and keeps him at your side on walks. He has not had any accidents in our home. He's fairly kennel trained, but will need very minor work with that. He is a VERY affectionate boy that we would love to keep, but it's just not fair to our boy we already have…If you think you could be that home for him, please do not hesitate to reach out 🤗
