Considering rehoming a really amazing little dog

I’m the dad of a one year old Chiweenie. He’s a great dog. Sweet. Cuddly. Loves to go on hikes. Super adorable. People are always complimenting. I’m starting to consider finding him a new home. I currently have to be out of the place I’m living because it’s going to be sold and I’m trying to buy a place so I think I’m going to have to move to a temporary place for now and every step of the way is complicated because I have a dog. Not to mention I am in the middle of career changes and might be no longer working from home which he would not like. I love this little guy. But it’s always crossed my mind that he might be happier living with more than one person or with another dog. So my current upcoming big life changes have got me thinking that maybe this might be the right thing to do. And if by chance this would work out - I would love a chance to still be in his life maybe as an occasional babysitter or if you go out of town or something (free of course!).
