Josh Feinberg is a leading sitar performer of his generation, and is considered one of the foremost experts of sitar and Indian classical music in the United States. He has a Bachelors degree from New England Conservatory of Music, a Masters of Fine Arts from Goddard College, and more than 20 years of teaching experience. He is a student of master sarodist Ust. Ali Akbar Khan. Josh is a faculty member at Lewis and Clark and Reed College and has taught workshops and lecture/demonstrations at institutions such as Harvard University, University of Chicago, New England Conservatory, and many others. Josh wrote the Sitar Method book for the Hal Leonard Corporation published in 2013. He has performed world-wide, and is considered by many to be one of the most accomplished sitarists of his generation, and one of the only non-Indians to be accepted as a performer.
