We have 2 guitarists, bass and drums, all but 1 of us sing. Looking for a keyboardist who can also sing both lead and harmony parts - plus if you are female. Also looking for a guitarist who can play lead and rhythm. All guitars will trade off on playing both lead and rhythm guitar so you will not be the only one playing lead. We are all 55+ in age if that’s important to you. Our project is to play music from about 1967 forward - The Byrds, CSNY, other bands from that time and current. Longer jam versions of some songs; kind of a concert experience rather than a dance band - all guitars and keys will be soloists. For example we have Rickenbacker 12 string guitars to nail the Byrds sounds. Inspired by the movie Echoes In The Canyon but with extension to Vietnam War protest music, early 70's, and beyond. If this is of interest please respond and tell us about yourself. Rehearsals will be at Space on Manchaca Rd. in South Austin. We will try to maximize rehearsal time by sending out 5-6 songs in advance of the next rehearsal so everyone can come in prepared to run through and finalize arrangements. We are looking for a competent player who knows how to blend in and be part of a group. Please, no egos need apply. Also, please own pro-grade equipment. This is a startup project.
