Help needed with RV shore oower

Hi I bought a RV from a crooked man. I am ex navy and disabled I bought this to travel with my grandkids. I was told he was the first owner. Anyway the next day the battery was dead I called him he came over but tried changing me a lot to fix it. I am not sure what he did to it but I am having trouble when plugged into the house power. I have the books to the rv. If you have gime to help It would be greatly appreciated.
