Classical hits in a new light performed by a transgender soprano
Jacqueline Burkholder is a music student training in opera and classical repertoire. She represents a new voice in the classical and opera communities as a transgender woman singing traditional soprano repertoire. Jacqueline has studied with widely celebrated music critic Ira Siff and has been awarded "Best Vocal Performance" in a music competition judged by celebrated English composer John Rutter and Grammy Award-winning former King's Singer Paul Phoenix. This is Mz. Burkholder's first private recital in Philadelphia. The recital will include works by Handel, Bach, Mozart, and more. Masks required.
