The event of the year is here!!
The Rules:
Sign in: 4-6 pm- Friday, October 22nd- pickup official tape measure.
Start: 7 am SHARP- Saturday, October 23rd.
MUST MEET AT FLY AND FIELD.
If you live in Redmond or LaPine, don't hesitate to get in touch with us before. Tournament End: 5 pm, anglers not checked into Fly and Field Outfitters by 5 pm will be disqualified. No exceptions! Fishing zone: Anywhere in Central Oregon. Preferred fisheries, Lower Deschutes, Crooked River, and the Cascade Lakes. How it works: Be ready to get down on some whitefish! Bring your favorite fly rod and nymphs in hopes of landing the biggest whitefish out of the crew—no restrictions on rod, tippet, and flies. As long as they are standard, they are good to go!
Scoring Points: Every fish must be recorded with a digital camera or phone. Each measurement must include the official Whitefish Derby Ruler. These will be distributed at sign-in. Photos must clearly show the tape measure. The five largest fish can be recorded.
1 inch=1 point
Tiebreaker- the individual who has the most recorded fish for the day.
After: Anglers will meet back at the shop at 5 pm. There will be an award ceremony and bbq for contestants. Food will be prepared by our Camp Chef, Shawn.
