A Footwork Workshop by Gabby J David Welcome to a brand new workshop experience! Footwork Fundamentals is a workshop series put on and created by Gabby J David. Each city will include a different faculty line up of some of the best in the world when it comes to footwork, from the different genres of shuffling to Baltimore club we plan on including everything for those of you serious about understanding footwork, the history, and the importance of keeping the culture of each genre alive! Our first stop will be in Baltimore, MD on October 9th at B Funk Dance Co! Let's learn a little about your amazing faculty below; Cutting Shapes taught by Gabby J David: Gabby J David is a professional dancer, choreographer and social media personality signed to Go2 Talent Agency and Selter Media. Gabby is the creator of the Electro Shuffle emote for the video game Fortnite. Gabby was selected as the choreographer and lead dancer in four music videos for Dutch celebrity Don Diablo. She was also one of two dancers selected to help Tiesto with promotion of his clothing line. She has collaborated for videos with artists such as Tiesto, CID, Chris Lake, San Holo, Oscar Wylde, Oliver Heldens, Funkin Matt, and AC Slater as well as record labels Insomniac, Dimmak, Night Bass, Musical Freedom, Panda Funk and more. She has choreographed and danced in commercials for DSW Shoes, Under Armor, Polaroid, Snyder’s Pretzels, Ellie Activewear, Electric Family and Vibedration. She has also performed live at venues such as EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo, and Echostage in Washington, DC. She was cast in one episode of the TV show Raising Asia. Her training includes ballet, jazz, contemporary, shuffling/cutting shapes, hip hop and modern. She began touring at the age of 14 with West Coast Dance Explosion as an assistant to Ricky Palomino and later with Artist Simply Human as an advanced assistant. She is dedicated to teaching and doing it well, she is so excited to spread her love and knowledge of cutting shapes with you all. Baltimore Club taught by TSU Terry: I am Terry Wedington I go by TSU Terry. Im From Baltimore MD. I started dancing at the age of 14 to stay off The streets and began teaching at the age of 21 to give back to the youth. I am the leader of the 2x We Run This City Group Competition Champions TSU Dance Crew. In 2018 We was inducted into The Bmore Than Dance Hall of Frame. I Was Inspired by The Late Great Club Queen Dj -Kswift Work Ethic & Wanted to continue The Baltimore Club legacy through Dance. TSU Has Also Made 2 Appearances at The World Famous Apollo Theater in New York . I Have Opened Up for Artist Like Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Durk , Meek Mill, Azalea Banks, Kali Uchis , Miami Tip from Love In Hip-hop. I have Toured Around The The World With TT the Artist & Rye Rye. I Was Also Featured In Lil Duval Smile Music Video as Seen on B.E.T Jams Malaysian (MAS) taught by David Rubenstein: David Rubenstein has made it his mission to spread his love and knowledge that he's acquired in the past 10 years to everyone across the world. From the dark techno clubs of Berlin, all the way to the beaches of Playa del Carmen, Dave has picked up various dance styles and philosophies throughout his travels. He has learned his craft from some of the greatest teachers in the shuffle world. David is a shuffle enthusiast and part-time historian of the dance. He has mastered moves from various shuffle styles like UK-style shapes, Malaysian, Cali and Melbourne shuffling. His philosophy is that dancing is a language. A physical vocabulary to express one's own life story through movement. His goal is for each of his students to develop their own unique vocabulary for their dance language. Melbourne taught by Julien aka Duckboi: Julien (a.k.a Duckboi) is a dancer from New York City has been shuffling for 5 and a half years. He’s been an active member of the New Empire Shufflers Crew since late 2017, and is currently the co-captain of the crew.
