Learn your way around a sewing machine + make a personalized tote bag. In this course you'll learn the sewing basics and get step-by-step guidance on making your first project. This 4-week course begins on Saturday, September 25th and takes place on each consecutive Saturday thorugh October 16th, 2021. Sewing 101 is designed to help you gain knowledge and comfort operating a sewing machine while putting those skills to work making a project perfect that you can be proud of. You'll learn the foundational elements of sewing including: September 25th: Sewing machine safety, terminology, and basic functions October 2nd: Notions & commonly used stitch functions October 9th: Begin following patterns, cutting fabric and project assembly October 16th: Tote Bag Completion WHAT TO BRING? Just bring yourself! Sewing machines and all other materials & supplies are provided during each class session.
