Description

Free Salt Lake City suffrage history walking tour Join Better Days for a free walking tour highlighting Salt Lake City's surprising and pathbreaking suffrage history! We'll share stories of Utah women who worked for voting rights from 1870 to the 1970s as we visit some of the places they've made history. Don't miss this unique opportunity for behind-the-scenes info and inspiring stories! The tour route covers a little less than 2 miles, starting outside the Utah State Capitol and ending downtown, where you'll have the option to stop for lunch or a museum visit (there's a suffrage exhibit open) and make your way back to your car on your own (a 15 minute walk). The tour is on accessible sidewalks, but please note that the route includes a hill and an elevation gain of 220 feet. *Note: This tour will follow public health guidance. We ask attendees to wear masks inside buildings and socially distance where possible. Better Days 2020 believes that by popularizing Utah's women's history in creative and communal ways, we open doors to having conversations about the future of Utah women.
