Calling Home-bakers! We would love to see what our home bakers are made of in our first annual Cookie Bake-Off! Calling Buffalo Home Cookie Bakers! We invite you to compete in our first annual Cookie Bake-Off to be named The Broadway Market's Cookies Bake-Off Winner. This win does not only come with the title but also a $200.00 cash prize! We are opening the competition up to the first 8 home bakers to register. They will compete for the title and cash prize by baking 2 cookies, a drop cookie and decorated cutout cookie. We will have two rounds of elimination before getting to the final judging round. The first elimination round will be based on the appearance of both cookies. Two or more contestants will be eliminated. The second elimination round will be based on the favor of the drop cookie and the championship round will be based on the appearance and flavor of the decorated cutout cookies. Bakers will bake at the Kitchen at the Market choosing either Friday November 12th or the morning of November 13th. We will have four four hour slots for bakers to bake and decorate their creations. Bakers will select these time slots on a first on first basis. Each time slot can accommodate two bakers. The time slots are as follows: Friday Nov. 12th Slot1 (6am-10am) Slot2 (10am-2pm) Slot3 (2pm-6pm) Saturday Nov. 13th Slot4 (6am-10am) Bakers are required to bring in all of their baking ingredients and materials. We have one convection oven and a standard oven that can be converted into a convection oven. We also have an industrial stand mixer. We would suggest that you bring your own mixer if you are not comfortable operating our large mixer. Each contestant will receive a container that will hold their product until judging. Constants are welcome to bring in display plates for judging. Judging will take place noon Saturday Nov. 13th at The Broadway Market. We are very excited about this event so we encourage you to invite your family and friends!
