Thank you for your interest in volunteering for LCAC as an Adoption Desk Support volunteer! Thank you for your interest in volunteering for LCAC. Volunteers are an essential key to our no-kill mission. At LCAC we conduct over 1,500 adoptions and over 300 pets being reunited with their owner, as an adoption desk support volunteer you will be directly supporting our mission to find them a home and keep them home. This is a volunteer, un-paid position. The purpose of this position is to assist staff with front desk duties. These key functions include but are not limited to greeting the public as they come in, answering phones, completing transactions, and entering data. At the adoption desk support training day, we will be reviewing the duties of the adoption desk support volunteer and began reviewing the basic knowledge you will need to be successful.
