Our longest-running dance program returns this summer! Join us each Thursday night, on Pier 45! Enjoy socially distant, in-person dancing as a season favorite returns! Sunset Salsa is led by world-renowned performer and instructor Talia Castro-Pozo, celebrated as “The Woman of Salsa” by Latina Magazine and trained in various forms of dance, from Ballroom to Jazz. Whether you’re a novice or an advanced dancer, Talia starts with beginner Salsa lessons before kicking off the night with a sizzling party. Dancers of all experience levels get to move to the music! As the DJs spin, you can dance along—bring your dancing shoes. Make sure you register early (free registration is required) and follow our social channels for announcements of special guests! Registration in advance is required for this event. As part of the entry requirements for events in Hudson River Park, as of September 13, 2021, attendees must provide proof of a completed FDA or WHO vaccination to access the event. A complete vaccination means having received a final FDA or WHO vaccination dose at least 14 days before the performance date. Bring your vaccination card (a photo of your card is also acceptable) or use Excelsior Pass Plus to streamline your entry into the venue. Excelsior Pass Plus is a secure, digital copy of your COVID-19 vaccination record or negative test results. Please remember to bring your photo ID as well. Hudson River Park is a 550-acre park and estuarine sanctuary from Chambers Street to W. 59th Street in Manhattan.
