Description
A networking and panel-style event with distinguished alumni working in areas of immigration, incarceration, and the private sector. Join us October 14th for desserts and discussion with alumni leaders and guests. Learn about the motivations behind their work, how they started their career, and what "working toward the common good," means to them. Areas of focus this year include immigration, issues surrounding incarceration, and private sector work benefiting the common good. The event will include time for networking and small table discussions with alumni as well as a panel discussion featuring some of the alumni leaders. Dress is business casual. See a list of our invited speakers on our website. We will be serving catered desserts for all registered participants. If you have RSVPed but can no longer attend, please email Michaela Lavelle at [email protected] by Tuesday, October 12th so that we can offer your seat to a student on the waitlist. Students who RSVP but do not cancel by the deadline and do not attend the event will be charged $30 to their DASH account to cover the cost of catering. Breaking the Mold is a 2-day conference sponsored by the Dartmouth Center for Social Impact that seeks to provide information and alumni networking opportunities for students interested in exploring or pursuing careers for the common good. Imagine a world, 10 years from now, when Dartmouth graduates are a force for building inclusive, economically-secure and healthy communities with opportunities for everyone to thrive. The Dartmouth Center for Social Impact prepares Dartmouth students to lead lives of purpose in the world through engagement in service to others. We challenge our students to lead for the common good, to link their service experience with scholarship, and to deepen their understanding of and contributions to the common good locally, nationally, and globally.
