Stand in solidarity with victims of forced conversion with CHINGARI. As we hear the atrocities committed by the Taliban against young girls in Afghanistan today, we shouldn’t forget that this has been happening to young Hindu girls every single day in Pakistan for decades. Every day, approximately three little girls from Hindu, Sikh, and Christian families are torn from their mother’s arms, raped by multiple men, and then forcibly converted to Islam and married off to much older Muslim men. Worse yet, they are forbidden from ever meeting their parents again. According to the Movement for Solidarity and Peace and the UN Human Rights Commission, this happens to 1000 young girls between the ages of 12 and 17 each year. Each day that we wait to act, three more girls are taken and thrown into lives of pure hell. This Saturday, individuals from cities across the world are coming together to stand in solidarity with these young victims. We simply ask that you stand with us. Details are below.
