Kayakers needed for open water swim support

Looking for experienced kayakers to help keep an eye on swimmers during open water swim events like Alcatraz Swims, Bridge to Bridge Swims, and more. Some training regarding supporting swimmers is available, but kayakers should be confident paddling in choppy waters. Event pay starts at $125 and increases depending on the event. There are 7-10 events per year, and paddlers may choose to assist with some or all of them. We are also looking for kayakers to help keep an eye on swimmers during open water swims at the Berkeley Marina Tuesday evenings at 6pm and Sunday mornings at 9am. Open to those who can work regularly or occasionally. Some guidance and training will be available but it is expected that you are comfortable on a kayak. Kayaks are available to loan if needed.
