SEATTLE — It is now mid-September, which means it is practically October, which means it is practically Halloween. In keeping with the season of ghouls and ghosts and the babadook, more than 1,400 seasonal Spirit Halloween stores have opened nationwide, including the stores across Puget Sound. Honestly, it might be time to prepare for Halloweens 2022 and 2023 while they're up. All the company's stores sell costumes, Halloween décor and accessories for children, teens and adults. And you can find one basically anywhere in the Puget Sound region. Spirit Halloween does not specifically say masks are required for vaccinated customers, but Washington state does require masks in indoor stores like Spirit. All spirit employees — vaccinated and unvaccinated — are required to wear face coverings. The store also requires face coverings for all unvaccinated customers. Hand sanitizer stations are posted at the store's entrance, and plastic shields are mounted around the registers.
