Description
TYSONS, VA — Bonchon, an international brand known for its Korean double-fried chicken, will open a location in the Tysons area in summer 2022.
The restaurant secured a lease at 8603 Westwood Center Drive, Suite 100, Vienna, which is not far from the Spring Hill Metro. It will join 20 other Bonchon locations in Virginia and over 370 around the world for the fast-growing franchise. The new location is one of two dozen new openings planned for 2022.
Bonchon was established in South Korea in 2002 and expanded into the U.S. in 2006. The name Bonchon is the Korean world for "my hometown."
"Bonchon has been wildly popular across the state of Virginia but in particular in the DMV area," said Flynn Dekker, CEO of Bonchon. "With each new Virginia location, we are reminded just how much the taste of our 'hometown' has been welcomed into the hearts and homes of so many."
The 2,600-square-foot restaurant will feature double fried chicken wings, drumsticks and strips with a choice of spicy, soy garlic, or half-and-half sauce. The menu also includes Korean specialties such as kimchi, chicken katsu and japchae.
Bonchon has U.S. locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. Internationally, Bonchon has locations in Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
