Let's kick off the school year together! Help us promote autism acceptance across the state of Alaska. Whether you are a student, self-advocate, family member, educator, or service provider, this FREE event is for you. All ages are welcome! There will be crafts, games, an information table, and FREE back-to-school gear. Check out our event schedule below. Hey, parents & teachers - are you having back-to-school blues? Learn quick teaching strategies for the home & classroom! Catch short presentations from education specialists that will help parents & teachers support learners of any age and learning level. If you buy something and mention that you support the bookfair, Barnes & Noble will donate a percentage of your purchase to the AARC. The money we raise will be used to buy books to donate to libraries across the state! **This is a sensory-friendly event. The AARC will be offering free fidgets and noise reduction headphones to individuals who have sensory processing disorders.**
