Survey Technician/Party Chief Axis Survey and Mapping is looking to add experienced Survey Field Technician (Party Chief) to their growing team. You would be part of a one- or two-person field crew and would be responsible for completing a variety of projects, from topographic and boundary surveys as well as construction staking and monitoring. We are especially interested in individuals who are interested in eventually becoming licensed surveyors. Responsibilities Your responsibilities would include, but not limited to keeping detailed survey notes, daily meetings with project managers to line out projects, data collection, maintenance of field equipment and vehicles, and generally running an efficient, safe crew. Qualifications Valid Driver’s License 3+ years of party chief experience, or enough years in the field to easily transition into a chief position. Ability to use data collection software Working experience with robotic total stations (Leica especially) and GPS Experience with topographic, boundary and construction surveying Ability to take accurate notes and sketches Benefits/Compensation Axis offers their employees benefits that include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, life insurance, and generous sick/vacation pay.
