Guitarist Seeking Musicians for Experimental Project

Description
Hey all, If you've clicked on this ad, I hope it finds you well! I'm looking to bring together some open-minded musicians with a variety of influences and styles who want to experiment with something fun. Over the last few months, I was hit with inspiration in writing a book in a somewhat dystopian, somewhat uplifting take on our current society, that is slightly Sci-Fi, but rooted in the world as I perceive it today. I've since decided this may be well suited for an album, as that seems like an easier approach for me. I will say, I would not call myself a lyricist, but am not limiting myself to think I'm not either. I've been stockpiling little riffs and motifs here and there that I've been gradually working more with in an "anything goes" mentality, and have realized that I don't want to undergo this journey on my own. I thoroughly enjoy all types of music and while I wind up writing heavier pieces or riffs in particular, I do not want that to be the sole objective or sound that comes out of this project. I've always gravitated towards music that tells stories that are not limited to one song, rather a piece of music that may encompass an album or EP. I would love to be able to work with others who have a passion for all types of music, but certainly allow space for each of us to let our unique styles shine. Guitarists, bassists, drummers, pianists and everything in between - come one, come all. I'm a guitarist in my late 20's, working as an engineer in the Seattle area, and have been playing music for about 14 years now. For much of this time, I've been playing on a 6 string and have since taken up a 7 string in the last year and am doing most of my writing on the 7 string these days. A lot of what I write winds up being in the metal realm these days, like metalcore and djent, as well as ambient pieces, punk rock elements, aspects of pop, and indie rock. I would cite most of my core influences as: The Contortionist Periphery LCD Soundsystem Daft Punk Meshuggah Bonobo August Burns Red The 1975 Tesseract Between the Buried and Me The Black Queen ZETA Beirut L'Indecis Sleep Token Joywave Candidly, I am a working professional and that takes up much of my waking hours during the week. I am not putting pressure on to play shows immediately or anything of that sort, but want to let this creative process take the time that it needs and flourish into something we can all be proud of...and THEN book some shows ;) If you're interested at all, please feel free to reach out and let me know what you play, the types of things that inspire you, and what you're looking to get out this. Cheers, Nathan
