Princeton Collecting Donations For Ida Flood Victims

PRINCETON, NJ - Tropical Storm Ida caused widespread destruction across New Jersey and Princeton. The Nation Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down in Princeton causing widespread flooding and damage to many homes and properties. The township's Department of Human Services is requesting community members to donate in support of neighbors who were heavily impacted by Ida. Gift card donations are being accepted and can be dropped off at 1 Monument Drive, Princeton, or in the drop box located in the back of the building in an envelope addressed to Princeton Human Services. Residents have also been requested to consider supporting small businesses in Princeton when buying gift cards. Meanwhile, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has opened a Disaster Recovery Center in Mercer County on Tuesday.
