Man Arrested After Hourslong Standoff At South Lamar Apartment

AUSTIN, TX — A man was arrested Thursday morning after an hourslong standoff with police at an apartment complex on South Lamar Boulevard. Police were called around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a domestic violence situation between a man and his girlfriend at the Post South Lamar apartment complex at 1500 S. Lamar Blvd. The woman suffered minor injuries and the man was taken into custody around 4 a.m. Thursday, authorities said. The incident was the second SWAT situation that officers have responded to in two days. Live in Austin?
