HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Food, music, drinks, activities, contests, craft vendors and more are coming out for the upcoming Hackettstown Oktoberfest. Co-hosted by the Hackettstown Business Improvement District and Marketspace Vendor Events, the fifth annual Oktoberfest is happening on Friday, Sept. 24, Saturday, Sept. 25 and Sunday, Sept. 26. The family-friendly fun begins on Friday, Sept. 24 at Bea McNally's on 109 Grand Avenue at 5 p.m., with a live broadcast with WRNJ through 7 p.m. that night. The Oktoberfest Buffet Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by live music by Mama's Stew from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. that night. A DJ plans to continue spinning tunes at Bea McNally's from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. On Saturday, Sept. 25, the fun continues all day, beginning with ax throwing, Hackettstown High School Cheerleaders throughout the day and German Dancers. At 12:30 p.m. Mayor Jerry DiMaio is planning to lead the Oktoberfest barrel tapping at Czig Meister Brewing on 106 Valentine Street. From 12:45 to 3 p.m. that day, Joe Cirotti Trio will be at Czig Meister, followed by Peter and the Wolves from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. At 3 p.m., Czig Meister is planning to host a Weiner Dog Race. At 4 p.m. at Man Skirt Brewing on 144 Main Street, the beer stein hold competition is planned, with the Roaming Oompa Band beginning at the same time, until 6 p.m. At Czig Meister, The Hollows Duo hit the stage from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Stella G's Oktoberfest Buffet Dinner is on from 5:30 to 8 p.m. At 6 p.m., Czig Meister hosts the grain bag toss, with a DJ at the same time at Bea McNally's until 10 p.m. The stein hold competition is on again at Man Skirt, beginning at 7 p.m. From 7:30 to 10 p.m., Nate Bo & Groove Syndicate is on at Czig Meister. On Sunday, Sept. 26, the Marty's Hackettstown Mountain Bike Ride starts at 9 a.m., with an inflatable bounce house all days for the kids, plus Hackettstown High School's Cheerleaders. Crafts are happening all day, along with ax throwing. From noon until 2 p.m. is the Roaming Oompa Band and the DJ Fitz Oktoberfest Dance Party. From 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Peter and the Wolves are playing on Main Street and Grand Avenue. A Corn Hole Tournament is on at Czig Meister from 2 to 4 p.m., with a DJ at Bea McNally's from 2 to 5 p.m. The Sixtel Race at Man Skirt starts at 4 p.m., with an Open Corn Hole game for those who would like to play, from 4 to 6 p.m. For details about the entire Oktoberfest event, stay tuned to the Hacketttstown BID's website here.
