Small remote working property management company is adding Full Time or Part Time Senior Maintenance Tech to our staff. This is a completely independent job, working entirely remotely in the field performing repairs and maintenance on single family homes. You will perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required. To do well in this role you should have at least 3 years previous experience in maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools. Maintenance Worker Responsibilities: • Conducting routine inspections of premises • Performing preventative maintenance. • Handling basic repairs and maintenance. • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary. • On call for emergences after hours and weekends as needed Maintenance worker must be able to perform: • Kitchen cabinet installation • Basic electrical wiring and repairs, and lighting installation • Basic plumbing repairs and replacement as needed. • Plumbing fixture installation. • Painting interior and exterior • Minor roof repairs • Interior framing • Routine drywall repair and replacement • Gutter cleaning • Install and change out hot water heaters • Vinyl plank flooring installation • All electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs not requiring a license Senior Maintenance Worker Requirements: • Proven maintenance experience. • Skilled in use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches. • Ability to interact the tenants and the general public in a polite and professional manner • Strong organizational and follow up skills. • Eye for detail. • Ability to maintain focus while working individually. • Strong time management skills. • Clean driving and criminal records. Able to pass a background check. • Must pass drug screening and refrain from drug and alcohol use while on the job. • Own large SUV or truck to get to and from locations • Ownership of hand and power tools. Company will pay for additional tools as needed. • Ability to travel up to an hour away for maintenance requests. Compensation: • $22/hour starting with guaranteed Full or Part Time work per week. • You get paid for all drive time from your house to all jobs and back home • 40 cents per mile reimbursement • Flexible hours and work days available • No medical benefits provided • Paid every 2 weeks through ADP direct bank deposit. Typical Day: Company provides work orders for the day. You drive your vehicle to pick up materials from supplier like Lowes, then drive to managed property to complete necessary repairs with the tools you already own. Company will pay for additional tools as needed. Once first job is complete, drive to next job, etc. until the day is done. This is a completely independent job working entirely remotely in the field performing repairs and maintenance on single family homes. You must be able to manage yourself and time responsibly.
