(8 pm) Sacramento Patch Notebook You've heard of craft beer, but craft wine? It's called "natural wine" and it's been a thing in Europe for decades. It's coming, slowly, to the Capital region and at least one wine buyer thinks the Sacramento area could become the largest natural wine hub in the world. That's because natural wine is a movement inspired by wine's pre-industrial roots with tenets that include using organic grapes, avoiding additives and fermenting with native yeast instead of purchased strains. It's perfect for our little wineries in the foothills and wine makers are taking note.
