BODEGA BAY, CA — There were no reports of oiled wildlife Thursday as diesel fuel overflowed into the waters of Bodega Bay, authorities said. The Barbara Marie, a 65-foot fishing vessel out of Crescent City, was docked at Spud Point Marina when it discharged a yet-to-be-determined amount of red dye diesel during internal fuel transfer, the California Office of Spill Prevention and Response said. OSPR crews and U.S. Coast Guard personnel surrounded the vessel with 700 feet of containment boom. No oiled wildlife was observed as cleanup operations and a spill investigation continued Thursday afternoon, authorities said. #USCG, partner agencies are responding to the Barbara Marie, a 64-foot fishing boat, Thursday after diesel fuel overflowed while the boat was docked in Bodega Bay.
