Description

The Precision Assembler will disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble mechanical seals during the repair process. The position is first shift, with consistent overtime required. Our shop is always in motion with a steady flow of challenging work and a customer-focused crew. • Use mechanical aptitude to disassemble, clean, and reassemble mechanical seals • Use hand tools, such as wrenches and mallets • Read blueprints and drawings accurately to assemble seals • Inspect and verify quality of finished work with precision measurement tools. Interpret data from optical flatness reports. Conduct air tests. • Enter data to track process steps, parts, materials, and time. • Follow all safety procedures, and wear required personal safety equipment. • Communicate clearly to peers and supervisors about jobs and issues. • Focus on improvement by participating in continuous improvement team activities. Ability to read blue prints and shop drawings Ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers and gauges Ability to various hand and machine tools Basic computer aptitude and date entry Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently throughout shift. Must be able to stand for shift duration. Must have a full range of hand and upper-body motion to work with tools and parts.
