LAKEWOOD, OH — COVID-19 threw a wrench into the Lakewood High football program's plans this week. The team's scheduled game against Normandy High was canceled after the Parma-based high school suffered an outbreak of COVID-19. The school was unable to field a team for Friday, prompting Lakewood athletic officials to scramble for a new opponent. Luckily, Lakewood secured a new foe for Friday night football — the Lucas High School Cubs. Live in Lakewood?
