Maintenance Technician- Full Time w/ Benefits

Birchwood Homes is seeking a full time Maintenance Technician to join the Birchwood Family! The position is full time 40+ hours per week and offers health, dental and vision benefits. Maintenance Technician Duties to include the following: • Appliance repair and installations - refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, electric hot water heater, disposal • Woodwork - door repairs, door jam replacements, wood base, stair hand rails, drawer and cabinet repairs and replacements • Windows - replace as needed, adjustments, repair or replace weather stripping, maintain blinds, window wood grids and screens • Plumbing - repair, maintain or replace water supply, sewer and heat pipes, drains, toilets, faucets, tubs, showers, sinks and hose bibs • Electrical repairs and replacements - light fixture replacements, smoke alarms, door chimes, light switches and interior outlet and exterior GFCI outlets, circuit breaker testing and replacement, and thermostats • Lock maintenance - repair damaged and worn lock sets, replace door knobs, pulls and latches, and cut keys • Vents and fans - repair and replace bath, kitchen, laundry room fans and ducting for fans and clothes dryer ducting • Maintain heating system - maintain 79 boilers and related pumps and motors, weekly inspection and log, draw fluid for yearly analysis from Dow, treat boiler fluids to recommended parameters, maintain valves, air separators and piping, tune boilers, rebuild pumps, pump up system pressure, bleed air out of zones • Power garage overhead doors - replace or repair opener and hardware, repair and replace broken door panels • Street, driveway and walk maintenance - plow snow on all streets and walks, sand all intersections in winter, sweep streets and walks, bike path and street lighting maintenance, street signage, remove oil from parking areas and driveways and seal blacktop, repair surface of asphalt roads and paths • Vehicle maintenance - oil, filter, belt, wiper, seasonal tire rotation and other minor mechanical maintenance • Equipment operation - Forklift, Mower, ect. • Work orders - daily calls • Rotating Emergency callout service - 24 hour emergency maintenance
