I'm looking for people who love to rock out to some hard-driving Chicago Blues, but also like to kick back for some front porch style laid-back blues. I'm guitar/vocals. My background covers all kinds of music – classic rock, country, a little jazz, and I even played with a show band at one time. But at this point in my life/career, I really want to focus on blues and blues-related styles. It's good to be versatile, but I want to be in a band that has an identity and a personality. If you're a good musician, you can be bookable. After the past year of sitting on the sidelines I'm happy just to play, but if I play, I want it to sound good, and if it sounds good I want to connect with an audience – get some of that positive feedback, and make some $ along the way. I'm interested in making contact with all kinds of musicians, but I especially want to find solid bass and drums. Vocals are always a big plus. I played full time back in the day, spent some time on the road, and I'm hoping to find other pro level (or reasonably proficient) musicians. Objective is to play out maybe a couple of times a month although that's probably going to involve playing some low-rent gigs to get started. I have some MP3s online; hopefully you do as well.
