Powers Reinforcing Fabricators is a fast-growing and well-established Rebar Fabrication Shop conveniently located in Phoenix. Powers Reinforcing Fabricators is looking to add a Maintenance Machanic to our team! Critical to the production process this position performs necessary repairs and maintenance to various heavy fabrication equipment within the facility. Mechanically inclined and a quick learner. Familiar with OSHA, requirements, and Local codes. Safe working habits. Ability to weld. Must have experience with cranes. The maintenance mechanic utilizes a high degree of proficiency while utilizing the full skills of the trade. Responsibilities  Repair and maintain shop machines and equipment  Analyze problems with various equipment and machines.  Ability to recommend cost-effective solutions  Working knowledge of repair and maintenance on Motors, Controls, Hydraulics, and Pneumatic equipment.  Work with minimum supervision.  Climb to do repairs with no fear of heights.  Keeps work area organized and clean.  Must adhere to and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements Education/Training - Work Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and at least 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Equipment Knowledge & Skills – may include but not limited to various shop hand tools and maintenance repair equipment • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure. Ability to apply basic math concepts. • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to in-depth understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard and non-standardized situations. Ability to learn things quickly.
