Position Purpose: The Ground Worker is responsible for: · Assist aerial workers and other ground crewmembers in all aspects of tree care and removal. · Keep the job site safe & organized, drag & chip brush, rake & clean up the jobsite. · Be able to work with and without supervision. · Drive Trucks with trailers, including daily safety inspection before and after operating. · Operate equipment including chainsaw, chipper, skid steer, leaf blower etc. including periodic maintenance/repairs. · Work safely and comply with company policies and ANSI/OSHA regulations for tree care operations, including wearing all appropriate PPE as provided by company. · Complete and retain basic skills training. Willingness to pursue additional training and certification as needed. Perform traffic and pedestrian control, and other relative duties as operationally necessary. The Ideal candidate will: · Be physically fit and have steel-toe work boots. · Have work experience with physical labor such as landscaping, farming, logging, construction ect. Experience with Equipment, chainsaws, truck/trailer driving and backing skills is a plus. · Be motivated to continuously expand and improve skillset. · Maintain a valid Drivers License and Medical Card. CDL is not required. Work Schedule: · Regular work week is Monday through Friday with some Saturdays, Sundays off. Each work day is usually 8-10 hours in length. · Start time is usually 7-8am but may change due to business needs. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. · Emergency work is sometimes available and may cause a deviation from our regular schedule, participation is encouraged.
