Wasabi (Sabi) is an 8 month male Heeler/Aussie mix. Knows basic commands, sit, stay, lay down. Isn’t allowed on furniture or beds so he’s very good with boundaries. Doesn’t jump. This dog is wicked smart, and does great as a running buddy. He doesn’t leash pull and will slow down at the slightest tug. I work too much and just can’t spend as much time as he deserves. He is definitely a Velcro dog, wants to be wherever you are. Completely housetrained and knows not to chew on shoes. With his breed in mind, he does tend to get mouthy but we have almost completely curbed that. It’s just a daily re-enforcement now. We only play with him using toys and ropes so there are no nipping issues. He’s great with cats and most other dogs. (With proper introductions) the few children he met weren’t an issue, he just gets really excited and wants to lean on them. He has not been neutered yet which is why I think he is less unsure with other male dogs but that will most likely change when he is. Around 50lbs now and fully vetted. I have all of the records and a dna test to pass on. He is microchipped and does really well at the vet office too. He is not kennel trained and will bark for hours if left in one. He has slight separation anxiety being alone, So no apartments or he will probabl chew through everything you love. Currently when I am working he has free reign of the house but with my mom’s dog.
