Housekeeper / Part Time Nanny Needed in Indio Who: We are looking for a caring, kind and responsible person to help us run our large Indio / La Quinta home that includes a busy working mom & dad, two daughters aged 9 and 11 and two large but friendly dogs. We are busy and looking for someone to help us maintain our fun and loving house! The ideal person for this job must love kids and dogs, have a great attention to detail, maintain a clean and happy household and be flexible with time. Must be able to drive and have a safe and reliable car and clean driving record. Must be great with kids as you will regularly interact with and watch our two daughters after school ( they require little supervision but do need to keep to a schedule, do homework and chores, and prepare some meals and snacks - nothing fancy ) Must be comfortable with two large dogs – walking them, cleaning up after them in the house, feeding them etc. Hours: We prefer someone with flexible hours as our schedule changes week to week. The ideal candidate will be available weekdays late morning to early evening but would work around our daily schedule, some days it would be less and some days more. Can be part time or full time or a bit of both. Occasionally would need you on a weekend based on availability. We also travel frequently so we would love someone willing to do overnights and house sit occasionally. What: When the kids are in school, the primary job is cleaning and organizing. Laundry to include family clothes, towels and sheets, including folding and putting away kids clothes. No ironing necessary. Help with packing and unpacking for trips. Daily cleaning and organizing of the house including both light and deep cleaning and occasional organization projects according to an agreed upon schedule to include making beds, changing linens, windows, vacuuming, floors, couches and living areas, all kitchen surfaces, dusting, emptying & loading dishwashers, bathrooms, furniture polish, tidying and organizing. Weekly organizing of common areas including pantry, refrigerators, closets etc. Grocery shopping and light errands when necessary. Help with parties and events in our home when necessary. If travel is a possibility for you there may be some opportunities to travel with our family to help with the kids. You must be fully Covid vaccinated (self & household) Spanish speaking is great as long as you can communicate with us! If your English is not perfect, do not worry. We speak pretty good Spanish, and we love to practice. Compensation / $17 per hour for regularly scheduled days, overnights and house sitting will negotiate a flat fee. This is a payroll position so must have proper documentation for tax purposes.
