The Laboratory Assistant position requires an experienced worker and/or recent graduate to utilize basic biological, chemical, physical, and life science laboratory skills to prepare a variety of self-manufactured and distributed products.
Duties:
• Inputting and recording data measurements for all company self-manufactured products
• Performing routine laboratory tests including calibration, production of buffers, reagents, tissue culture media, agar and microplates, and more
• Maintaining inventory of products
• Keeping laboratory supplies up-to-date
• Enforcing Quality Assurance techniques as outline by the Quality Management System (QMC)
• Will maintain all technical documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS's), Certificates of Analysis (COA's), Product Info/Data Sheets (PIS/PDS’s), Composition Analysis, as well as any other documentation required for the products
• Perform various laboratory tasks
• Other duties as assigned
• Reports directly to the Laboratory Director and the VP of Business Development & Operations, as well as to assigned Product Managers when applicable
Position Requirements:
• Proven scientific knowledge, including basic general chemistry, biology, biochemistry, and similar fields
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to prioritize deadlines and job priorities
• Problem-solving skills
Compensation:
• Paid vacation after one year of employment
• Sick leave (5 paid days) after three months of employment
• Compensation increase after first three months of employment with successful Performance Evaluation
