FULL TIME - 1ST SHIFT, 2ND SHIFT, AND 3RD SHIFT AVAILABLITY MONDAY - FRIDAY with occasional overtime on Saturdays. Drives forklift with lifting devices such as lift beam and swivel hook to push, pull, lift, or move products, equipment, or materials to and from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area by performing the following duties. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ● Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. ● Performs safety check of trailer before entering with forklift to assure trailer is clicked and ramp is secure and fully down. ● Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials of hooks tow tricks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated areas. ● Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting devices. ● Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage. Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices. ● Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. ● Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. ● Routes items to departments. ● Ability to meet physical demands of the job.
